Privacy policy

This page explains what information Sunset Property Co. collects through this website and how we use it. The site is built on the ZRently property-management website platform; ZRently processes form submissions on our behalf as a service provider.

What we collect

  • Information you provide on forms — name, email, phone, property address, and the contents of any free-text field.
  • Server logs — IP address, browser, and pages visited, retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies — a session cookie required for the site to function, and an analytics cookie if you accept analytics (see below).

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry, application, or rental analysis request.
  • To send you property listings or follow-up communications you've requested. You can unsubscribe from any non-transactional email at any time.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as a California real estate broker.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not operate outside the United States, and we do not transfer your information internationally.

Your rights under California law

If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, request deletion, and request correction of inaccurate information. Submit a request to privacy@sunsetco.la and we'll respond within 45 days.

Terms of use

By using this site you agree to use it lawfully and not to scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract listings or contact information except for personal, non-commercial use. Listings are posted in good faith but we do not warrant accuracy — availability, price, and features can change at any time.

Accessibility statement

We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. The site is designed to work with screen readers, supports keyboard-only navigation, and avoids color as the sole conveyor of information. If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, email access@sunsetco.la and we'll address it as quickly as we can. The office is on the second floor with stair access; we'll meet residents and owners at street level on request.

Analytics notice

We use a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service (Plausible) to count page views and understand which content is useful. No personal information, IP addresses, or cross-site identifiers are collected. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or session recording tools.
